Spring’s Springing And The Cows Are Back

Posted by on Apr 4, 2017

We’ve just returned from a road trip to Nerja near Malaga for some sunshine before the start of our season at Hillcrest – our first visitors are coming on Saturday and it will be great to hear the sound of happy children and for that matter the adults after the quiet of winter!

We did nearly 2,500 miles from our Normandy gite and back without a single hold up – try doing that in the UK!! That’s one of the reasons we chose to come to Normandy as its so easy to get to from the UK – we’ve got back to Calais in under 4 hours once and the channel ports are much, much closer so come on down and visit us in April or May as it’s a beautiful and special time to visit .

On our return we were greeted with a staggering rainbow of Normandy spring flowers and come early butterflies too – nothing raises the spirits more than seeing Red Admirals and the stunning yellow Brimstone butterflies taking to the air in March – unbeatable!!

Its lovely too to see the cows back in the spring meadows around us and the spring blossoms in the hedge rows – I don’t think I have see so many Dandy Lions and Primroses, they just seem to be carpeting the place.

We still have a week available in April and couple of weeks in each of May and June so why not bring your family/friends and treat yourselves to break in our beautiful part of Normandy – we may even be able to offer last minute deals for last minute long weekends – there’s so much to see and do here and we are close to the land mark attractions of the landing beaches, Mont St Michel and Bayeaux to name a few and for many of you its easier to get to than the West Country or Lake  District.
